Decade Clear Coat For Decks (TS-90C) promises to last longer than any home center or national brand without cracking or peeling which has got to be sweet music to the ears of people fed-up with refinishing their deck every year or two. Users love its long lasting durability and the beautiful self leveling finish it produces. Simply put - it looks better and lasts longer than any national brand clear finish or deck stain!

 

What's the secret? Decade Clear Coat utilizes the latest in blended resin technology producing a remarkably durable finish that remains both hard and flexible at the same time - flexible enough to move with wood as it expands and contracts with the weather. It is surprisingly economical to use when factoring in the tremendous coverage (400-450 sq ft per gal) it supplies, superior performance and endurance it provides. An advanced oil-based formula proven in independent testing to withstand constant submersion for more than 40 years! The exceptionally attractive finish maintains its gloss and clarity longer than typical deck stains, varnish or exterior clear finishes. It provides long lasting service on all interior and exterior surfaces subject to extremes in temperature (-60 +400F).

 

The finish is self-leveling, resists chipping, cracking and peeling without chalking when properly applied. Use it as a solution to extreme weather conditions, high altitude UV degradation or where there is the high likelihood of regular standing water. For added slip resistance in high traffic areas add 1 lb Gaco-Grip, Tred-Tex or our transparent glass bead slip resistant additives as seen on our supplies page. Acceptable for use on pressure treated wood, fiberglass, plastic, concrete, masonry, aluminum and composite materials (Trex Deck, Timber Tech and CorrectDeck). An environmentally friendly low odor formula that produces a nontoxic finish.

Stats: Best when applied by roller coat according to Application Instruction Sheet: Covers 400 square feet per gallon on a per coat basis. Spray: Up to 450 square feet. Dry to the touch in 2-4 hours. High in solid content so it will require dilution in most applications. Available in satin and gloss.

Recommended preparation: Refer to Application Instructions Sheet, label directions and standard industry application practices. For best results remove existing deck paint, loose scale, wax, oil and contaminates. Concrete, masonry, tile, steel- Use TS-695 Etching Cleaner. All wood surfaces must be thoroughly dry (19% MC max) before application. 

Thin & clean up: Use only with factory recommended thinner, TS-605 Thinner. Clean all equipment thoroughly with TS-605 Thinner.

Accelerate/Harden: TS-160 Accelerator/Hardener improves chemical resistance, hardness and speeds the dry and cure time. Its use is required in all applications where pool chemicals are present, motorized or heavy traffic.
